Z Palette DEPOTTING 101:
HOW TO DEPOT EYE SHADOW IN 5 SIMPLE STEPS
Depotting your eye shadows is a great way to save space and organize your makeup. Most people don't realize just how easy it is!
The flat iron method is one of the easiest depotting methods.
There's a few things you'll need:
- a flat iron
- a pointed metal tool (or a butter knife)
- wax paper (local grocery store should have it)
- the eye shadow
- your Z Palette
- and metal stickers (don't worry, these come complimentary with every Z Palette!)
Start by finding the groove in between the shadow and the pot. Carefully wiggle your pointed metal tool back and forth until the shadow "pops" out of the pot.
Heat up your flat iron to the highest setting and protect the ceramic plates with a piece of wax paper. Place the shadow on the ceramic plate and leave the shadow on the iron for one to three minutes. You'll want to keep a close eye on the shadow so you don't overheat it.
Carefully use your pointed metal tool to poke through the back of the shadow until the pan separates from the plastic plate. The metal pan will be very hot - so be careful!
Peel the paper backing from the Z Palette metal sticker and stick it to the back of the eye shadow pan. Don't worry if there is a little glue left on the pan, the metal stickers included with your Z Palette will stick right to it. You can even label the shade directly on the metal sticker!
Place your depotted shadow in your Z Palette and customize it however you'd like! Save space and have fun! How easy was that?
