Day 1: Refresh
After deep cleansing your hair of all the product buildup from the week before, take a moment to savor your clean, refreshed hair. Air dry or blow dry until damp, then run a bit of mousse (we love using Fudge Urban's Iced Raspberry Vanilla Mousse!) through the hair and let it completely air dry. At night and while sleeping, have your hair put up into a loose topknot bun.
Day 2: I Woke Up Like This
Waking up, your hair should have a natural, slight frizzy texture to it. To enhance this style even more, use a salt spray, such as Sun Bum Beach Spray, or a dry texturizing spray like Blow Pro TextStyle Dry Texture Spray!
Day 3, 4, 5 & 6: Turn up the heat
For these next few days, dry shampoo will be your best friend (try Batiste Floral Dry Shampoo- perfect for the upcoming warm weather!). Not only will it add volume and texture, but it'll make you feel less guilty for not washing your hair by soaking up excess oil.
Use your flat iron to either make your hair pin-straight, or for a beachy-wave effect. This is the prime time to play around and mix up the styles of your hair! Remember to use a bit of heat-protectant spray to lessen the amount of damage on your hair from all the heat!
For those soft-wave days, we recommend following these steps to achieve the perfect waves:
- Curl your hair with a barrel (1 1/2" or above). Don't worry about it being perfect- because the whole point is to have a soft, relaxed feel to it.
- After curling, run through your hair quickly with a flatiron. Don't press your hair with the flatiron for too long or all the work you just did will be lost!
- Apply some clay wax onto the ends of the hair to finish off that beautiful beach hair.
Day 7: That perfect messy bun
All those layers of product make for the perfect messy topknot! If your bun keeps falling down, secure it with our RickyCare No-Crease Large Bobbi Pins, specifically made to hold huge (and sometimes untamed) hair!
Day 8: Rinse and Repeat!
Time to wash out all that product buildup from your to start anew! Every other week or so, try a clarifying shampoo like Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind to really deep cleanse all of that gunk out of your hair!
